How To Install Ubuntu Touch Preview on Devices

According to new technology you can add Ubuntu touch system on your devices.Follow the given below simple and sy steps for devices.

Add the Phablet PPA:
First of all you have to install Ubuntu Phablet PPA Tools on your device.Login by entering user when prompted and enter following commands.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:phablet-tm/tools
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install phablet-tools android-tools-adb android-tools-fastboot
Prepare Your Device:
When you Install Ubuntu Touch on deveice it will format your device and wipe all of your data including Android OS on your device.So you should be aware keep backup of all your data like s,musics,s etc.

Enter Bootloader:

To enter bootloader follow the given below steps.

1). Turn off/shutdown Android on device.

2). Hold in (press) the power button, volume up and volume down at the same time

3). Keep holding until you see an up-turned Android and large text rding ‘Start’

4). Attach the device to your computer using its USB cable

Your Device:

Next steps is to unlock your device.

1). Open a new RUN window pressing (Win +R).

2). Type given below command.
fastboot oem unlock
3).This will unlock your device and allow you to flash the Ubuntu Touch Preview.

4). Accept the terms and let it do its thing.

Reboot Into Android:

We need to USB debugging With your Tablet freshly unlocked we need to re-enter Android .If you’re still at the Android boot loader (upturned Android screen) follow the given below steps.

Press the ‘power’ next to the ‘Start’ text Inside Android ,USB debugging will be enable by following steps.

1). Open Settings > About Tablet/Phone Tap ‘Build ’ (at the very bottom) 7 times in a row.

2). Go back to Settings.

3). Click the ‘Developer’ entry

4). Enable USB debugging

if you’re running Android 4.2.2 you’ll now need to restart adb in Ubuntu.

adb kill-server; adb start-server

Now re-attach your Tablet/Phone to Ubuntu using the USB cable. A pop-up will appr asking you to accept a host .



You have to accept it If you want to install Ubuntu Touch Preview .

Installing Ubuntu Touch Preview:

To install ubuntu touch preview follow the given below steps.

1). Open “RUN: window and type given below command.

phablet-flash -b

2). Rd over the text that apprs and, if you’re willing to go ahd, type ‘yes’ and hit enter.

3). Phablet Tools will appr and installing option will appr.Click on this to install.It will wipe all of your data.

Boot Into Ubuntu

After above given steps wait a little bit and boot into Ubuntu.
