Some Common PC Errors and theirSolutions
1. MONITOR LED IS BLINKING Checkall the connections like MonitorCable, Data cables,RAM, DisplayCard , CPU connections.

2. CONTINUOUS THREE BEEPSProblem in RAM Connection.

3. THREE BEEPS ( 1 Long 2 Short)Problem in Display Card Connection

4. THREE LONG BEEPS PERIOD WISEProblem in BIOS or RAM (BasicInput Output System)

5. CONTINUOUS NON-STOPBEEPING Board Problem (I.e.;Some is pressed for Longertime)

6. FDD LED IS GLOWINGCONTINUOUSLY Data cable to beconnected properly (twisted cable).

7. NO DISPLAY ON THE SCREEN ATALL Hard cable connectedwrongly. Connect rightly seeing theRed mark (Faces power supply) andthen Restart.

8. POWER LED IS OFFa. Check main power cordb. Check S.M.P.S.
c. Check Mother Board connection

9. SHOWING CMOS ERRORReplace 3 Volt battery of MotherBoard . Set original SettingsManually.(Refer CMOS Setupchart)Enter your srch terms.Submit srch form.

10. SHOWING FDD ERROR ORFLOPPY DRIVE IS NOT WORKINGPROPERLYCheck Power cord of FDD , DataCables , set CMOS & Finally theCheck drive.

11. SHOWING HDD ERROR OR HARD FAILUR. Check Power Cord
b. Check connection of HDD
c. Check Data cable
d. Check Hard parameters inCMOS or Auto detecting SettingPartitions by F Command,then format it to set track 0.

12. MOTHER BOARD HANGS DUE TOUNSTABILIZED POWER SUPPLYa. Check S.M.P.S
b. RAM not functioning properly.
c. Software problem (due tousingpirated software)d. CPU fan not functioningproperly.

13. DANCING SCREENa. Check Display card connection
b. Virus Problem
c. Memory Problem

14. SHAKING SCREEN

16. NON-SYSTEM ERRORa. Floppy Drive having different (Non-Bootable ) OR CMOSParameters for Hard may notbe set properly.b. Hard Partitions may not becrted.c. Hard may not be formatted

17. MISSING OPERATING SYSTEMThe System files missing namely Ie;
command.com} -User File IO.SYS &MS_DOS.SYS } - Hidden Files. Thesbove three files required for Startup of the system that can betransferred by using SYS C:Command OR While the time offormatting by using Format c:/u/s

18. MISSING COMMANDINTERPRETORMay the file Command.com iscorrupted OR Infected by VirusORSome one has Erased it.

19. SHOWING I/O ERROR
a. The type of Hard in CMOSmay not be set properly.b. Operating system used forformatting is not valid.

20. SHOWING DIVIDE OVER- FLOWMESSAG. May some Directories or Filescrash with other files.b. Use CHKDSK/F or SCANCommand to correct it.

21. HARD MAKING NOISEWHILE PROCESSINGa. Unstabilized power supply.
b. Check for Loose Contact.
c. Do not use Y Connectors forHard .d. It may crte Bad Sector ORWk Hard .

22. HARD HANGS WHILEPROCESSINGCheck for Bad Sector by using
CHKDSK or SCAN Command. Iffound format the Hard and set
Partition before that ar.(This is theonly procedure to use Hard with Bad Sector) OR (To avoidBadSectors use Standard Power Supply)

23. HARD NOT DETECTEDa. Check Power Connector
b. Check Data Cables
c. Check Jumpers

24. PARTITION NOT SHOWNOperating System where the Hard formatted is not supportedwith present Mother Board. For Eg:Hard formatted with PentiumSystem will hide their partitions for486 System.

25. MMX/DLL FILE MISSINGMay the above files may becorrupted due to power failureorVirus. Make available above filesfrom other Computer. OR Reinstall 98 Operating System. (Thisprocedure will not make anyeffecton existing Data).

26. REGISTRY ERRORThis will happen due to sudden ON/OFF of the system. Final solution isto Reinstall Operating System.
27. DISPLAY COLOUR DOES NOTMATCHa. Configure Display Card properlywith their .b. The Standard setting for is set it to 800x600 for better performance.

28. UNKNOWN DEVICE FOUNDMay the Driver utility is notprovided with operating system .Insert Driver and install softwarefor the above Device.
